Okay, so I’m a little early but I’d rather be early than late. Trust me, I’m usually late. Here’s my contribution to the International Stash-Busting Giveaway: Six fat quarters (well, the green and yellow is just a little smaller than a fat quarter) of quilt shop quality fabric, thinned from my far too extensive stash. I actually have two sets of these cut, so if there are more than 100 entries, I’ll draw two names. And, knowing me, I’ll probably drop in a few more bits of fabric.
So, the rules:
This is an international giveaway (which is part of the reason I’m posting this early – it’s already Wednesday on the other side of the world). To enter, post a comment to this blog entry and tell me your name, where you’re from and what you’d do if you won a million dollars (after you’ve done all of the practical stuff). For example, my name is Sandi, I’m from Wisconsin (USA), and I would go back to college, although I’m not sure what I’d study.
I will choose the name(s) in a random if not particularly scientific manner, and announce the winner on Thursday, February 4. Be sure to give me a way to contact you, either your e-mail or your blog.
While you’re here, look around – there’s an excellent collection of links for free patterns and other resources on the Quilting Resources page, as well as a looong list of my troubleshooting tips for frame quilters on the Frame Quilting page.
Don’t forget, there are lots more bloggers participating in this stash giveaway, so check out the list here:
EDIT: COMMENTS ARE CLOSED FOR THIS POST. I’LL ANNOUNCE THE WINNER TOMORROW. THANKS, EVERYONE!

I’m Joanie, from No Cal but have lived in the UK for 11 yrs and if I won the money (unfortunately it’s a lot less when converted to British pounds) I’d probably do sensible things with it then try and figure out how to keep it from the greedy UK tax man so my children could benefit from it in the future.

I’m Dawn from England (but living in California).
A million dollars? Ah, that would stop my husband from going on about how he ‘pays for everything’… Hmm, I’d love to move home, but would probably settle for somewhere that gets a winter. I’d like to have a little space set aside for a sewing table etc. I’d like to visit Africa and New Zealand. I’d probably put a lot of it into savings, as I’m boring and cautious. But I’d most of all love not worrying that something expensive will need fixing every time we use up a big chunk of our savings to buy tickets to visit home.
Gorgeous fabrics! Please throw my name in the hat for the draw if you would. Thank you!
If I won a million dollars – first I’d buy a building just for my stash – then I’d get more stash! lol

Love this set of fabric and would like to add my to your drawing…thanks very much.
Hello,
my name is Tina & I live in Georgia ( just south of Atlanta…) if I had a million dollars, I would make sure that any members of my family, who doesn’t currently have a home of their own, would get one…those who already do, would have their mortgages paid off ( & I have 6 brothers & of course my parents..so I’m sure that would take a good chunk out…) & what ever is left would go for college for my daughters & if after all that, there was any left, we’d take a nice family vacation, or maybe even have a big family reunion…(I like to dream big!) π & by-the-who, I’d LOVE to be in your giveaway…please & thank you!
I would buy a house! We live in the SF Bay area and winning a million dollars is probably the only way I’d ever be able to afford one here! I would make sure there was an in-law apartment for my mom. Lovely, lovely fabrics- thanks for your generosity!
Oh what fun! Okay, I’m Mackenzie, I live in Virginia (Shenandoah Valley area), and if I won a million dollars I would…pay off the last bit of debt we have, then buy a minivan for me and the kids, a nicer car for Hubby, and then a better sewing machine! With anything left it would probably go to fabric and yarn. π
I’m Shannon, and I live in Kirkland, WA. I’m afraid I would only do practical things with the money, because I would pay off my mortgage first and then have to save the rest for taxes.
Please enter me in your great giveaway, I would love to win a million dollars (first take care of all practical expenses) then would love enjoy my needlework hobbies with endless stash. Thank you, Kim

Good question… My name is Jessica, I am from Oregon. If I had a million dollars I would buy a farm with a studio space AND a longarm machine.

Hi, my name’s Jacqui and I’m from Auckland New Zealand. My first question would be if this million is in NZ dollars or American, I’m hoping the latter because otherwise it won’t go far! I’d buy a bigger house with a huge yard, or maybe a couple acres where my daughter could run wild in bush and get to know nature a bit better. Then I’d travel a lot, all the places I’ve wanted to go, or go back to favourite ones. And increase my stash π
I’m having so much fun blog-hopping and making friends this year.
I’m writing from washington dc. If i won a million I’d tour the world and come to convert a warehouse into my home and fill it with all my travel finds.
Thanks for such a generous giveaway! I hope I’m chosen as the lucky winner!!!
Kristin from Vermont….if I won a million dollars I would first visit Paris and Hawaii, then I would buy a small house (keep the cleaning down) with a HUGE quilt studio and sew and teach quilting!
