Last week you saw my diamond quilt and I thought I’d share an update:
Yes, the top is assembled! Now I just need to quilt it. We’ve been having some tension issues with the frame lately and it isn’t a priority, so that may take awhile. Also on the To Be Quilted list…
…my Christmas Cactus quilt, that has been languishing in various stages for two years! (That’s Karrie of Freckled Whimsy on the right left, and Lisa (no blog yet!) on theleft right.) I finally finished the top a couple of months ago, and over the month of November I posted daily blocks as a Quilt Along. If you’re interested, you can go to the first post here, or see all of the PDFs on my Patterns page. I’ll be removing them (and all associated posts) on December 31 and turning it into a pattern that I will offer for sale, so download the free PDFs now.

My eye keeps going to your Christmas Cactus. It really is beautiful! I think it should jump to the head of the to be quilted line.
When you get that tension problem settled, you have some great quilts to work on, especially the Christmas Cactus. I have been collecting the blocks and hope to start on it after the first of the year.
Just wanted to take one more opportunity to thank you for this absolutely great quilt pattern. Hoping to start it in January.

I just found your blog. Your Christmas Cactus quilt is gorgeous. I went to download the pdfs and don’t see an entry for block 9. Am I missing something?

I’m glad you found block 9 – for some reason, it doesn’t show up in the list of posts when you click the “Christmas Cactus Quilt Along” tag, but it’s out there, I swear!
