Just a quickie here – I wanted to share some music! I was looking for a third album to put my Amazon purchase over the minimum to receive free shipping, when I came across a new release by Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa. I have a couple of her albums and I thought I’d check it out. Oh. My. Gosh. This is their second collaboration, both albums covering classic blues and blues rock songs. I just love the power, personality, and shiver in her voice, and Joe Bonamassa and the other musicians deliver a richness and fullness that make the entire album a complete joy to listen to.
To give you an idea of the range on this album, here’s an incredible, aggressive cover of my favorite Tina Turner song, Nutbush City Limits:
And here’s a smooth, sexy, funky version of Rhymes, performed previously by both Etta James and Al Green.
In bed ill at the mo, these songs put a smile on my face. What a fantastic voice. Thanks
Glad you liked them! I forgot to mention it in my blog post, but the album is called Seesaw. I just checked out your blog and I see you’re going to the Fat Quarterly Retreat – I’m so jealous. Hope you feel better soon. Sandi Piecemeal Quilts

What an amazing voice! I don’t listen much to any music anymore, but those videos took me back almost 30 years and all the way to Memphis.
Thanks for sharing these. Great music! I like both Joe B. and Beth Hart. It’s nice to see another collaboration. Check out Beth Hart’s soulful rendition of A Change Is Gonna Come (http://youtu.be/YDTei_wdm3U) from a couple years ago.
Thanks for sharing – always on the look out for great music. Have seen Bonamassa, but missed out on Beth Hart! Thanks again!
